Two Sentences That Don't Make Sense

Not to cast aspersions on the very fine blog NoPod, but I can't for the life of me see the sense in these two sentences:

"The weather is wonderful. I think I might clean the bathroom."

Taken apart, they seem innocuous; put together, they seem to have no logic to them whatsoever.

Here are some alternative versions of those two sentences that seem somewhat more logical

- "The weather is wonderful. I think I might go for a walk."

- "I am a masochist. I think I might clean the bathroom."

- "The weather is wonderful. Purple monkey dishwasher."

I mean, really! Cleaning the bathroom?

I'll be back a little bit later, folks. I have to go clean the *cough**hack**splutter*, but only on pain of death.

I wish we had a little more rain.

It might have worked if it had been:

"The weather is wonderful. I think I might do the washing."

As you do.

"The weather is wonderful. I think I might shampoo the carpets."

As you do.

"The weather is wonderul. I think I might bath the dog."

As you do.

The weather yesterday was quite nice - sunny, at least, so I washed my linen. I know I ought to clean the bathroom but I just can't find it in me to do so.
Still, some people are motivated by the oddest things. Yesterday my neighbour was, quite suddenly, motivated to move out by her boyfriend. Altogether a very sweet screeching session...

Bathing the dog is a little bit like shampooing the carpets, after all ...

It is quite sunny today, but I really do like a bit of rain. 'The weather is wonderful' can be a subjective term.

Suffice to say that writing a job application made Paul just a little bit insane.

I, on the other hand, was sitting outside at a cafe soaking up the sun - as in "The weather is wonderful. I think I might read the paper in the sun."

Oh come on now, it wasn't only the job application.

Cleaning the bathroom gives me a sense of satisfaction (like a victory over grime). I hate doing it on a lousy day because there is no reward attached (like being able to play in the sun afterwards), but on a lovely, bright, sunny day there's nothing better than doing a little bit of housework and then lapping up the rest of the day knowing you don't have to go home to a dirty bathroom at the end of the day.

Simple as that really.

"the weather is here. Wish you were beautiful"

If you were a member of the Bathroom Readers' Hysterical Society, then possibly you could quite happily combine reading the paper and cleaning the bathroom.

But there is one time of the day when I like nothing better than to be in the bathroom: that is, when I'm having a bath!

They are two different and totally independent sentences which can not be separated. I think there is no way of relating them by using a connector

Two sentences can make a difference in a good or bad conversation . no way it is one of the most exciting thing that I have ever read in my life!!
